Mad Fashion

If you've ever seen Mad Men on AMC, you know the style is fierce. The women on the show wear tight skirts, curve-flattering dresses, and have attitude for days. Banana Republic was so inspired by the fashion worn on the series that it launched its own Mad Men clothing line. How fantastic is that!? (Very.)

Here are some of my favorite looks for men and women in the line:

Love the way they styles these outfits! The men look dapper as all hell in those sleek dark suits and pocket squares. Minimal fuss-- just a suit to catch the attention of women everywhere/their secretaries. 

And don't even get me started on the women's clothing in this line. Banana Republic knows how to flatter a woman's body better than most retailers. Simple hair & even simpler makeup allow the clothing to pop and the personality of the garments to shine through.

Today's outfit is inspired by the black and blue houndstooth dress on the far left in the first inspiration photo. I actually have that exact MadMen for BR dress, so of course I wore it for this post! I wore my hair in a swept-up-and-to-the-side style, and added pearl earrings, a double-strand pearl necklace, & black pumps to complete the look.
